Chateaugay
Lakes Farmers' Market
Saturdays, 10
am - 2 pm
June 20 - September 5, 2009 Lawn
of Hollywood Inn on Route 374 You
will find the Chateaugay Lakes Farmers' Market nestled under a shady
tree on the bank of The Narrows which connects the Upper and Lower
Chateaugay Lakes. 2008 marks the eleventh season for this market. Whether
you arrive by car, boat, bicycle, motorcycle, or four-wheeler, you will
find a mix of the unusual along side of the farmers' market basics —
tomatoes, peas, beans and corn. If you are looking for birch
bark-framed Currier and Ives prints of the Chateaugay Lakes; fresh
basil for pesto; jams, jellies and herb mixes, red, white, and blue potatoes for a festive potato
salad; a souvenir of your stay in the North Country; lamb or sausage for the
grill, your stop at the Chateaugay Lakes Farmers' Market will be worthwhile.
We now have two bakers who offer bread, cookies, fudge, fruit crisps and
other delicious baked goods.
Special
events:
- Garlic Festival, which celebrates the
new harvest of locally grown garlic
- Arts and Crafts Day
